Recently, the Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the operation of my country's electronic information manufacturing industry from January to November 2024. Data show that from January to November 2024, my country's integrated circuit output was 395.3 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%.
In terms of production, from January to November 2024, the added value of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 12.2% year-on-year, 6.4 and 3.2 percentage points higher than the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period. In November 2024, the added value of electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 9.3% year-on-year. Among the main products, from January to November 2024, the output of mobile phones was 1.504 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%, of which the output of smartphones was 1.117 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%; the output of microcomputer equipment was 306 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%; the output of integrated circuits was 395.3 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%.
In terms of exports, from January to November 2024, the cumulative export delivery value of electronic information manufacturing industries above designated size increased by 1.3% year-on-year, 0.6 percentage points higher than that from January to October 2024. In November 2024, the export delivery value of electronic information manufacturing industries above designated size increased by 6.9% year-on-year. According to customs statistics, from January to November 2024, my country exported 130 million laptops, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%; exported 743 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%; and exported 271.7 billion integrated circuits, a year-on-year increase of 11.4%.
In terms of benefits, from January to November 2024, the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 14.45 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%; operating costs of 12.65 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%; total profits of 565.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%; operating income profit margin of 3.9%. In November 2024, the operating income of electronic information manufacturing industries above designated size was 1.49 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%.
In terms of investment, from January to November 2024, fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 12.6% year-on-year, down 0.6 percentage points from January to October 2024, and 0.5 and 4.4 percentage points higher than the investment growth rate in industry and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period respectively.
